Management of infectious swine diseases
The animal disease situation in Finland is very good. Finland is one of the few countries that is free of PRRS (Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome). Good health status has helped to keep the need for animal medication within reasonable limits.
African swine fever (ASF) has spread in Europe and also to nearby countries Estonia and other Baltic countries, Russia and Sweden. Finland is still free of ASF and it is very important to combat the disease.
